Eldorado serves up Mother’s Day brunch and show special
Treat mom to something special this Mother’s Day with champagne brunch at the Eldorado Hotel Casino’s newly renovated restaurant, The Buffet. Mother’s Day brunch will be served from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 10. Buffet prices are $20.99 for adults, $9.99 for children under 10 and $17.99 for Gold Card members and above.
Guests can continue their Mother’s Day celebration with a special matinee showing of Menopause the Musical at 3 p.m. in the Eldorado Showroom. Due to popular demand, “Menopause” has been extended to Sunday, July 26. Tickets are available from $29.95 for adults; from $24.95 for children and seniors; and dinner and show packages are available from $39.95. ‘Menopause’ comes to Reno
“The change” may cause consternation for some women – and their significant others – but that doesn’t mean it can’t be funny.
“Menopause the Musical” is coming to the Eldorado Hotel Casino in Reno for an engagement starting Feb. 25. Inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine, the original off-Broadway musical begins with four women at a Bloomingdale’s lingerie sale. These ladies have nothing in common – but a black lace bra, hot flashes, night sweats, memory loss, chocolate binges, not enough sex, too much sex and day-to-day challenges.
The women share their ups and downs through a collection of 25 re-lyricized baby boomer songs from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. It was written by Jeanie Linders and is produced by South Florida-based GFour Productions. It has been seen by more than 10 million people all over the world since it debuted in a 76-seat perfume-shop-turned-theater in Orlando, Fla. in 2001.

Ballroom dancing’s stars hit their marks in Floorplay

From across the globe, Australian ballroom dancing champions, World Latin American champions and dancers from Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Asia, Holland and Slovakia join this award-winning troupe.
