For some, it is a day to commemorate a man named Patrick who chased some snakes out of Ireland. For the rest of us, it is an excuse to party, and pay homage to the Irish and their many traditions. There are many locations in Reno Tahoe that will provide entertainment, Irish music, and of course, great Saint Patty’s libations. Here is a list of some of the venues that will keep you occupied from the ‘top of the morning’ until the wee hours of the night!

The crawl is back again folks! Saturday, March 15, the leprechauns (and wannabe leprechauns) will be out and about. Only instead of pots of gold, these guys will have cups of liquid courage! Dress in green or risk getting yourself pinched by a lot of fellow crawlers. The crawl starts at 7:30PM.
Get your cups at one of these locations. You even can buy them online!
There will also be discounted room rates at the Silver Legacy and the Sands Regency during the weekend of the Leprechaun Crawl. Use the promo code LEPCRAW at the Silver Legacy and CRAWL14 at the Sands!
More info will come shortly, and we can’t hardly wait to tell everyone all about it! Time to paint the town GREEN!

Downtown Virginia City-Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry and St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Saturday, March 15, 2014
Often Referred to as the “Testicle Festival!”
In March, the Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry & St. Patrick’s Day Parade features marching leprechauns, green attractions, and a Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry (yep—they are either beef or sheep testicles, or some of both.)
This is a fun filled day of unique eating as professional and amateur cooks compete for the most creative and unique dishes utilizing these unique delicacies. More than 20 cooks compete in one of Northern Nevada’s most popular tasting contests serving up tasty testes all day, hoping for fame and glory as one of the best Rocky Mountain Oyster cooks in the West.
it’s a full-on Irish Testicle Festival with a Beer Garden, live Irish music, individual and team ball-eating contests and topped off with the Leprechaun Bar Crawl. At 12:00noon, catch the Virginia City St. Patrick’s Day Parade on C Street, featuring the Minden Irish Dancers, our Giant Leprachaun’s of Fresno and more.
